Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Unified Nations Council (UN Council). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of all UN Council websites, platforms, programs, memberships, scholarships, residencies, events, and services. By accessing or participating in any UN Council initiative, you agree to follow all rules, guidelines, policies, and responsibilities stated in this document.

The UN Council is an independent, international, not-for-profit leadership and education organization. All programs and activities are operated for educational, developmental, and collaborative purposes.


1. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to all activities, services, and platforms operated by the UN Council. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Leadership programs

  • Virtual learning programs

  • Global leadership residencies

  • International conferences and summits

  • Awards and recognition platforms

  • Membership programs

  • Scholarship programs

  • Application and registration portals

  • Websites and digital systems

  • Communication and support channels

  • Official documents, content, and materials

Participation in any UN Council service means you agree to these Terms.


2. Eligibility

To participate in UN Council programs, users must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age

  • Provide accurate, complete, and verifiable information

  • Meet program-specific criteria

  • Agree to the Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and Code of Conduct

  • Comply with international and regional participation requirements

  • Hold a valid passport and visa for travel-based programs where applicable

UN Council reserves the right to accept or decline participation.


3. Registration and Participation

By registering for any program or service, you agree to:

  • Submit accurate information

  • Keep login or access credentials secure

  • Not share access with unauthorized individuals

  • Participate actively in programs where required

  • Follow all program guidelines and instructions

Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in removal from the program.


4. Payment Terms

All payments made to the UN Council are final. This includes:

  • Registration fees

  • Scholarship registration fees

  • Residency program fees

  • Membership fees

  • Event passes

  • Award nomination fees

  • Sponsorship or partnership fees

  • Any other payment made through UN Council platforms

Once paid, the amount cannot be refunded, reversed, transferred, or carried forward under any circumstances. Users must read and agree to the Refund Policy before completing any payment.


5. Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded after evaluation based on merit, impact, diversity, or financial need. By applying for or accepting a scholarship, applicants agree that:

  • Scholarships cannot be transferred to another person

  • Scholarships cannot be postponed to a later event

  • All program requirements must be completed

  • All documents submitted must be genuine

  • All communication during evaluation must be truthful

  • All payments related to scholarships are non-refundable

Failure to comply may result in loss of scholarship or removal from the program.


6. Code of Conduct

All participants must uphold respectful and professional behavior across all UN Council platforms and events. Participants must not:

  • Harass, discriminate, or disrespect others

  • Disrupt learning environments or event operations

  • Use offensive or harmful language

  • Engage in fraudulent activities or provide false documents

  • Violate cultural or ethical norms

  • Misuse UN Council name, brand, or identity

Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal without refund.


7. Event and Program Modifications

UN Council may change program schedules, venues, speakers, formats, or delivery methods for operational, safety, or regulatory reasons. This may include shifting to hybrid or virtual delivery if required.

Such changes do not qualify participants for refunds, compensation, or credits.


8. Travel and Visa Responsibility

Participants attending international residencies or events are responsible for:

  • Obtaining their own visa

  • Booking flights and travel

  • Meeting all travel and health requirements

  • Maintaining valid travel insurance

UN Council does not guarantee visa approval and cannot issue refunds in case of visa rejection or travel restrictions.


9. Intellectual Property

All content created, shared, or published by the UN Council belongs exclusively to the organization. This includes:

  • Leadership curriculum

  • Program materials

  • Videos and recordings

  • Certificates

  • Digital content

  • Logos and branding

  • Documentation and reports

Participants may not copy, share, sell, publish, or distribute any UN Council content without written approval.


10. Digital Platforms and Communication

Users agree not to misuse UN Council digital systems or communication tools. Prohibited actions include:

  • Attempting to hack or disrupt systems

  • Sharing unauthorized materials

  • Impersonating officials or representatives

  • Sending spam or misleading messages

UN Council monitors digital usage for security and operational safety.


11. Liability Limitation

UN Council is not responsible for:

  • Travel delays or cancellations

  • Visa denials

  • Medical emergencies

  • Technical failures

  • Loss of personal belongings

  • Costs related to personal travel or accommodation

  • External disruptions outside organizational control

Participants are advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance.


12. Termination of Participation

UN Council reserves the right to remove any participant who:

  • Violates these Terms

  • Provides false information

  • Breaches the Code of Conduct

  • Misuses program access

  • Engages in unethical or disruptive behavior

All payments remain non-refundable if participation is terminated.


13. Governing Principles

These Terms are guided by internationally accepted practices for nonprofit educational organizations. Regional compliance may apply based on the location of events or users.
