Refund Policy

The Unified Nations Council (UNC) maintains a transparent refund policy to ensure fairness while safeguarding the sustainability of our programs and events. By registering for any UNC-organized event, program, or activity (โ€œEventโ€), participants agree to the following refund terms:

1. Application Fee

  • The USD $20 Application Fee is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • Applications without payment are considered incomplete and automatically rejected.

2. Refund Eligibility by Delegate Category

  • Fully Funded Delegates: No refunds apply.

  • Partially Funded Delegates: No refunds apply.

  • Self-Funded Delegates: May request cancellation; however, refunds are issued exclusively in the form of non-transferable digital vouchers.

3. Voucher Policy

  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  • Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Vouchers may only be applied once, and unused balances are forfeited.

  • Redemption is subject to seat availability and UNC approval.

  • UNC reserves the right to determine which programs qualify for voucher use.

4. Refund Timeline for Self-Funded Delegates

Refunds (in voucher form) follow this schedule:

  • More than 30 days before event start: 70% as voucher, 30% retained.

  • 20โ€“30 days before event start: 50% as voucher, 50% retained.

  • 10โ€“20 days before event start: 30% as voucher, 70% retained.

  • Less than 10 days before event start: No refund or voucher issued.

Note: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via UNCโ€™s official email, with proof of payment. Verbal or informal requests will not be processed.

5. Event Cancellation by UNC

  • In cases of event postponement, rescheduling, or cancellation due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, regulatory restrictions, or security concerns), UNC may:

    • Transfer your registration to the rescheduled date, or

    • Issue a voucher for future participation.

  • UNC is not liable for indirect costs such as travel, visa, or accommodation expenses.

6. Breach of Conduct

Participants removed from an event due to misconduct, breach of guidelines, or unlawful activity are not eligible for any refund or voucher.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or voucher refund:

  1. Submit a written request via the official UNC email.

  2. Attach proof of payment and registration details.

  3. Wait for written confirmation from UNC.

Requests will be processed according to the above conditions.
