The Unified Nations Council (UN Council) maintains a clear and professional refund policy for all participants, applicants, partners, and members. This policy applies to every program, event, scholarship, membership, and service offered by the UN Council.
All payments made to the UN Council are final. The organization does not provide refunds under any circumstances. Once a payment is submitted, it cannot be reversed, cancelled, transferred, or credited to any other program.
This applies to every fee or payment, including:
Program registration fees
Scholarship registration fees
Residency program fees
Membership fees
Event and conference passes
Award nomination fees
Sponsorship or partnership fees
Any payment made through UN Council platforms
The UN Council operates as an independent, international, not-for-profit organization. All payments contribute directly toward educational initiatives, scholarships, global leadership programs, logistical arrangements, event operations, and international coordination.
Because funds are allocated immediately for these purposes, refunds cannot be issued.
The UN Council does not provide refunds in any situation. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Visa rejection or visa delays
Inability to travel
Withdrawal after registration
Personal or professional schedule conflicts
Illness or medical emergencies
Technical issues or internet problems
Non-attendance or incomplete participation
Incorrect or incomplete submissions
Change of interest or change of plans
Event rescheduling or program changes
Financial limitations after payment
No exceptions are made in any of these circumstances.
The scholarship registration fee is non-refundable. This fee covers administrative review, evaluation, and processing of applications. Even if an applicant is not selected, withdraws, or becomes unable to continue, the fee remains non-refundable.
Residency program fees are non-refundable. This includes any subsidized or full-fee residency payment. These fees are used to arrange accommodation, meals, venues, program materials, and event logistics, which cannot be reversed or recovered.
This fee remains non-refundable even in situations such as:
Visa denials
Flight cancellations
Inability to attend
Unexpected emergencies
Travel restrictions
Participant withdrawal
All tickets and passes for UN Council events are non-refundable. If an event is postponed, the pass will remain valid for the new date. Refunds are not provided for postponements, rescheduling, or changes in event structure.
Submitting a chargeback request to a bank or payment provider is considered a violation of the UN Council’s payment policy. In such cases, the participant may be:
Removed from all programs
Declared ineligible for future participation
Subject to administrative action
Reported to the payment gateway along with documentation
The UN Council will provide proof of agreed terms to the payment processor.
A refund is issued only in the case of a duplicate payment for the same transaction. Participants must provide accurate proof, such as a bank statement or transaction receipt. After verification, the excess amount will be refunded.
This is the only valid exception to the no-refund policy.
For payment-related queries or assistance in verifying a duplicate transaction, you may contact:
Email: finance@uncouncil.org
Secondary Email: info@uncouncil.org
The team will review your request and provide support where possible.
By making a payment on any UN Council platform or for any UN Council initiative, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted this Refund Policy in full. All users are required to agree to this policy before completing any payment.
